Fire Safety Awareness Course for Companies

• Suitable for: All staff
• Venue: Company premises
• Aim: To acquaint staff with fire safety issues and the action that staff should take in the event of a fire or fire alarm.
• Duration: 4 hours.

Choose from one of the following courses, specifically designed to meet your staffs training needs.

General fire awareness course (classroom based).

• An explanation of the basic fire precautions (your alarm system).
• Staff action in the event of Fire.
• Types of evacuation.
• Human behaviour in fire.
• Types of fire extinguishers, their use and limitations.
• The elements of fire and the various classes of fire.

Staff evacuation – hands on.

• (Max of 12 students for practical Session or 20 for lecture no practical).
• An explanation of the basic fire precautions (your alarm system).
• Types of evacuation e.g. horizontal evacuation and compartmentation movement.
• Evacuation role play involving staff (smoke optional).
• Discussion of equipment available for use in the event of an evacuation.
• Fire extinguisher training (classroom based).
• a full explanation of the types of fire extinguisher, their use and limitations.
• The elements of fire and the various classes of fire.
